David Wilkinson
An Englishman, David has made Asia his home for the last 17 years, sharing his time between Singapore and Hong Kong. Upon arriving in Hong Kong in 1993 he was immediately bitten by the bug of sailing and bought his first yacht in 1996, attracting media attention as a result of the challenging twelve day 500 mile sail across the South China Sea between Luzon in the Philippines and Hong Kong. For this new sailor and boat owner, beating for five days into Force 6 to 9 winds was wearisome, but taught him valuable lessons about boat safety over vanity and comfort!
A highly regarded Financial Coach and Investment Manager David can usually be found supporting his clients in achieving their Financial Goals. By taking this time out to participate in this adventure David fulfils a significant personal goal. Diagnosed of having a tumour early last year resulted in major surgery to remove and a firm promise from David to pursue life with passion! One day at a time!
David is a proud father of two lovely daughters, Lucinda and Isabelle

Chris Wilde
18 year old Chris Wilde of Warwick in the UK joins us as part of the Talisker Bounty Boat crew. His mother read the story in the Telegraph on Wednesday and told Chris, who was then one of the first to apply for entry details. After considering all the options, Chris was chosen ahead of others, even though as he says in his own words “I cant say I have any boating or sailing experience at all” but he has the one key element I look for – absolute blind passion.
I know this will get him through.
He is a student in his Gap year, works as a Lifeguard (so swims well), enjoys climbing mountains and is up for the mental and physical challenges ahead. This will change his life and be a story worth watching.

17 year old Mike Perham has signed on as second in comand of the Talisker Bounty Boat! Mike now holds the record as the world’s Youngest Solo Circumnavigator, having sailed his Open 50 Totally Money around the world in 157 days, crossing the finish line on August 27th 2009. When Mike called into Hobart for repairs during his circumnavigation, he spent nearly five weeks living with Don & Margie McIntyre who assisted Mike with getting back on the road again…during the course of all that, Mike and Don had time to visit Jessica Watson (www.jessicawatson.com.au) who is about to set off on her bid to take Mike’s Solo record away from him!
The McIntyre’s bought the boat for Jessica and are major supporters of her Quest. When Mike heard about the Talisker Bounty Boat Expedition, his imagination began to run wild…so now he too will get close to Bligh.
